One of the nicest thing about the Sky Caddie

By sbmarto97 on April 25th, 2008

One of the nicest thing about the Sky Caddie golf GPS is that if your home course is not one that has been mapped out by Sky Golf you can do it yourself. The process is very easy and it only takes a couple of minutes per green. I have mapped several of the course that I play on a regular basis, and I’ve done it while playing a round of golf.

Is there any harm in modern technology

By sbmarto97 on February 12th, 2008

But is there any harm in modern technology offering up a measure of assistance especially when it shows itself to be beneficial. Absolutely not. True, traditionalists are going to find such devices offensive but they of course can make the choice not to use a Sky Caddie. What I find more loathsome than anything is the pace with which golf continues to be played. Five hours is way too long. Range-finders may not be the solution but they can be a time-savings contributor.

By sbmarto97 on January 8th, 2008

Have you ever hit your tee shot so badly that it ended up over on another fairway? If you play golf of course you have. Then while you were standing there with no yardage marks around I’ll bet you would have loved to know how many yards you had left to the green or to get back on your own fairway. Well if you had a Sky Caddie it would tell you how far it was and give you the shape of the green.

By zoogie on January 2nd, 2008

Whether you are a professional golfer or a newcomer to the sport, you know that you have to pay close attention to the biomechanics of your golf swing. If you do not stand and position your feet properly, your swing will be off. If you do not hold your back or your arms in a certain position, your swing will be off. There are so many things that can go wrong during your swing, and they are all based on the placement and movement of specific body parts.

Basic Winning Tips for Golf Players

By davek on November 23rd, 2007

Looking at some oil portraits of legendary golfers, you might have noticed the sense of elegance and dignity. Look at how Tiger Woods carries that special attire and chooses his club. That is golf – it gives you a solid and bold character that lets you stand out from the rest.

Unlike other sports, golf is not rule-bounded. Winning it means mastering the necessary attitude or etiquettes to outrun your opponents. Arriving early is the basic etiquette. By arriving early, you still have the time to grab hold on other things like getting a caddie or checking on the scoreboards. Most of all you can have the time to mingle with your opponents in order to feel comfortable with them. Next rule is as important as arriving early – getting a proper warm up. This will surely make you feel ready instead of feeling stiff. You should always play heartily and calmly. Sportsmanship is always the secret of winning. Do not forget to take care of your golf accessories or anything in the course. Finally, have fun and enjoy each level in the game; after all any game is not about winning rather it is how you played the game.

For many people it doesn’t even have to involve competition at all

By sbmarto97 on October 8th, 2007

For many people it doesn’t even have to involve competition at all. Just stepping to the first tee can cause a serious case of nerves. Maybe it’s when you must make a put to tie a hole or to win on the 18th green. If you’re standing on the 17th hole in a match and you’re 1 down then you have to deliver. Period. If you can’t channel your nerves you had better hope that swing you’ve been grooving for the past 6 months holds up now!

What if I Told You the Benifits of a GPS in Golf

By sbmarto97 on September 5th, 2007

In my opinion the advancement of GPS is a wonderful thing for us amateur golfers. I believe it is one of the most effective tools that anyone can have in their golf bag. This is a gadget that every golfer should have!

I purchased a Golf GPS two years ago. I haven’t regretted the decision at all. I find it to be an invaluable piece of equipment, because it’s saved me many strokes. It has sped up my game because I no longer have to pace off the yardage and my approach shots are more accurate than ever before. I now know the exact yardage to the green from where ever my tee shot comes to rest.

Advertise To Professionals: Corporate Logo Golf Balls

By zoogie on August 14th, 2007

If you need to advertise to a professional crowd (lawyers, doctors, etc.) then you might want to consider the use of corporate logo golf balls. These golf balls need not be printed with only a corporate logo, but can incorporate any advertising/promotional message you desire. Even non-profit organizations use them - so can you (even if it’s just for yourself). They are not as expensive as you might think, and you can really get your message across to your professional target audience without seeming too pushy. Why not give it some thought?

If You Want To Be A Golf Pro, You Must Study The Biomechanics Of Your Golf Swing

By zoogie on July 3rd, 2007

Achieving professional status in any sport is not easy - even in sports that do not look ‘hard’ to play - such as golf. But any golf professional will tell you that if they make it look easy on the course, its because they have spend many long hours behind the scene, practicing the biomechanics of their golf swing, refining their stance at the tee, practicing their putting, chip shots, etc. There’s no gain without the pain.
